History

Over 60 years of experience in transport.

1964

Heikki Seppälä receives the first traffic permit. Transport of raw timber and log houses begins.

1970

The company acquires its first new truck tractor.

1980s

1984 Jarmo Seppälä receives his combination vehicle driver's license and begins driving.

1990s

First international traffic permit granted to Kuljetusliike Heikki Seppälä Ky. International operations commence.

1994 Sami Seppälä receives his combination vehicle driver's license and begins driving.

2000s

Generational shift. Jarmo and Sami Seppälä take over the management and continue to develop the company.

New hall facilities for optimized operations and to offer space solutions for external customers. TCA Oy is founded to manage these facilities.

New office premises in the center of Alajärvi.

Transport Seppälä Oy is founded to handle customer relations, sales, and marketing. Kuljetusliike Heikki Seppälä Ky continues to provide transport services. Our business now consists of two complementary companies. The skilled personnel remain the same.

2010s

Two large 90tm general cargo crane trucks are acquired to serve the lifting needs of various construction projects.

Early 2020s

Divestment of large general cargo cranes as the unstable economic outlook of a rapidly changing world affects the construction sector.

A washing hall is built in connection with the terminal to serve the maintenance needs of our own and external hauliers' equipment.
